Materials: Two 8" square pieces of 32-count "Vintage" Light Examplar linen from Lakeside Linens. ETERNA SILK™ 100% silk filament thread in the colors listed.
Center and stitch the design as charted, using 1 strand of silk over 2 threads of linen; do the cross and back stitches first and the satin stitch border last.
Finishing instructions: With right sides together, stitch the front and plain back of the ornament together ten threads out from the outside edge of the satin stitch border, using a sewing thread to match the linen color and leaving an opening along the bottom edge. Turn the ornament inside out through this opening, stuff with desired amount of cotton or fiberfill, and stitch the opening closed. Using a 36" length of six-strand Holiday Overdyed Stranded, make a twisted cord and attach to the ornament as shown in the picture.
