Thread used for full stitches:

Materials:  Eterna Silk Overdyed MiniTwist or Eterna Silk Overdyed Stranded thread in colors indicated. Two 5" square pieces of 32-count light natural linen

Instructions:  Using one strand of Overdyed Silk Stranded, or two strands of Overdyed Silk MiniTwist, center and stitch the design over two fabric threads.

Finishing:  Cut a 22" length of Eterna Silk Overdyed Silk Yellow Dahlias, MiniTwist or Stranded, and make a twisted cord for the ornament hanger.

Trim the ornament twelve fabric threads away from the outermost cross stitches. Trim the other piece of linen to the same size. Carefully matching the halves, with wrong sides together, stitch three sides together with two strands of Red Roses in a running stitch, two threads away from cross stitching. Stuff the ornament with a small square of felt or a small amount of batting, and stitch the remaining side closed, anchoring the ends of the hanger inside the ornament. Remove the eight outermost fabric threads for fringing.
